Research Innovation Fund

The Research Innovation Fund (RIF) is designed to advance the province’s research community’s capacity to develop innovations that can be commercialized and have an economic impact on New Brunswick. 

Innovation Voucher Fund

The Innovation Voucher Fund encourages collaboration and partnerships between small-and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and research organizations. The Fund aims to accelerate innovation within SMEs by using the talent, capacity, and facilities of New Brunswick’s research organizations.

Projects may range in size from $10,000 to $100,000. NBIF will fund 80% of the total project costs, up to a maximum of $80,000. The company must meet each of the following criteria to be eligible for funding:

Green Mining Innovation (GMI) Active

The GMI is a pan-Canadian initiative to improve the mining sector’s environmental performance, and to create green technology opportunities for Canadian businesses. Through the GMI, CanmetMINING works to accelerate the research, development and deployment of green mining technologies and practices; enhance innovation and productivity in mining; improve environmental performance; and improve the competitiveness of the Canadian mining industry thereby positioning Canada's mining sector as the global leader in green mining technologies and practices.
